Privacy Policy

Sonic Observatory collects only the account information needed to run community map features: username, email, password hash, verification status, saved drafts, published maps, and votes.

Email is used for account verification, password recovery, and important account messages. We do not send marketing email in this MVP.

Cookies & Tracking

Sonic Observatory does not use marketing, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies. We only use strictly necessary functional cookies to keep you signed in (Session cookie) and to protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF cookie).

External media players (YouTube and Spotify) are embedded on track pages. These third parties may set their own cookies when you interact with their players. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode to minimize data collection.

You can edit your profile or delete your account from the profile page. Account deletion removes private account data, drafts, and votes. Published maps remain visible without your name as Deleted user.
